Ocular Coherence Tomography

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a new, noninvasive imaging technology used to capture a high resolution image of our patients’ retinal structures to determine retinal thickness and condition.  The quality and detail of these images are simply amazing, we can see detail well beyond the thickness of a human hair.

This procedure allows us to assist in the diagnosis of a variety of eye conditions including diabetic retinopathy, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, cystoid macular edema, central serous choroidopathy and optic disc pits.
